Little Timmy stretched as he jumped down off his bed
His hair was all a tangled mess, curls around his head
His socks were brown and rumpled but he only had one shoe
He couldn't find the other one, now what was he to do.
He ventured to his toy box, he searched to no avail
There he found his little boat, but couldn't find it's sail
He thought and then he pondered, now where else could it be
He went to get his bunny, but it wasn't there you see.
He always took his bunny when he went to sleep at night
He'd lay it on his pillow, it was always in his sight
He thought that Mr. Bunny could help him in his quest
But now his Mr. Bunny was lost just like the rest.
He wondered to the bathroom to see what he'd find there
Nothing there but he could see the towel rack was quite bare
Now what is going on here, he knew this wasn't right
What happened to those things of his in the dark of night.
With rumpled socks and one shoe on he journeyed down the stairs
Maybe Duke would help him hunt, he knew that he would care
He called to his new puppy as he hit the hallway floor
But no one came, he thought Oh No, I can't take this any more.
Racing to the kitchen, he stepped inside the door
There was little Dukie fast asleep upon the floor
Going to his wee friend to pat him on the head
He looked into the corner where Dukie had his bed
There within that corner were the things he couldn't find
And now he'd solved the mystery, he had peace of mind
Curling next to Dukie, grabbing bunny by the ear
He feel asleep with one shoe on, the other lying near.
