In the poem " The Tyger" the poet William Blake has given a very nice description about the features and the structures of a beautiful creature like the tiger. The tiger is a wonderful but frightening and ferocious animal. It is a contrast to the poem " The Lamb" written by William Blake. The tiger represents the cruel, rude and harsher side of human soul unlike the lamb which represents the tenderness of softness, peace, gentleness, meekness and harmlessness. The tiger lives in the darker forests of the night. The burning bright body stripes of the tiger makes the creature beautiful. The golden and burning eyes of the tiger is the mighty lusture it evinces. The tiger is having fearful symmetry besides having sharp claws and elegant paws, strong muscles, orange and black colour body stripes, strong teeth. The poet is wonderstruck admiring its symmetry and beauty. The poet thinks and feels that same God who made the lamb has also made the tiger. So to the poet, both the tiger and the lamb are made by the same hand of God. After all, God is the most powerful and tiger is an example of strength and beauty.
